LGBTQ+ Inclusion and Awareness and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE): Training for Educators
This training supports the development of more inclusive educational spaces and curricula that considers the specific needs and vulnerabilities of LGBTQ+ children and young people.
In this training, you will:
- Become confident in your awareness of LGBTQ+ identities and knowledge of inclusive terminology
- Understand the mental health and wellbeing needs of LGBTQ+ young people, including the impact of bullying, microaggressions, intersectionality and internalised shame
- Gain clarity on schools' safeguarding responsibilities and legal duties related to LGBTQ+ inclusion
- Work through real-world case studies to apply learning to practical situations
- Learn how to create safer, more inclusive learning environments where LGBTQ+ students feel seen, respected and supported
