LGBTQ+ Inclusion and Awareness and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE): Training for Educators 

This training supports the development of more inclusive educational spaces and curricula that considers the specific needs and vulnerabilities of LGBTQ+ children and young people.

In this training, you will:

• Become confident in your awareness of LGBTQ+ identities and knowledge of inclusive terminology
• Understand the mental health and wellbeing needs of LGBTQ+ young people, including the impact of bullying, microaggressions, intersectionality and internalised shame
• Gain clarity on schools' safeguarding responsibilities and legal duties related to LGBTQ+ inclusion
• Work through real-world case studies to apply learning to practical situations
• Learn how to create safer, more inclusive learning environments where LGBTQ+ students feel seen, respected and supported

Positive Approaches to RSE: Developing Confidence

This training is perfect for anyone who wants to develop their confidence in delivering inclusive RSE.

In this training, you will: 

• Investigate the importance of RSE and the positive impact it can have on student safety and wellbeing 
• Identify and practice using teaching tools for delivering more effective RSE
• Explore ways to navigate challenging conversations with confidence
• Consider inclusive approaches to RSE

The sessions take an intersectional approach, exploring how RSE often overlooks the needs of learners from marginalised communities, leaving young people without the education they need to engage in healthy relationships or make informed decisions about their sexual health. This training provides professionals with the knowledge, skills and awareness they need to be able to provide more inclusive RSE programmes.
