Stephe Meloy

Stephe is a Hither Green local and musician involved in south-east London queer arts scene, identifying as working-class and gypsy. He is also the chair of Lewisham LGBT Forum. In this oral history clip, Stephe talks about gay venues in Lewisham in the late 80s to mid-90s.

Marilyn Major on The Outdance

Marilyn was interviewed as part of the Our History project, which archived, recorded and preserved our LGBT heritage in 2019/20. Marilyn, a member of GLGC lesbian group in the mid-1980s, grew up in Abbey Wood. She also worked as a nurse in HIV prevention with Greenwich and Bexley Health Promotion in the 1990s. Marilyn was a METRO Board member 1998–1999. In this oral history clip Marilyn talks about The Outdance at the Albany Empire.
