Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Awareness Training

Training and support to allow organisations to support staff and clients regarding sexual orientation and gender identity

About this service

We deliver workshops that explore and demystify sexual orientation and gender identity. We train staff in how to create more inclusive safe spaces and challenge homophobic, biphobic, transphobic (HBT) and sexist language and bullying.

We can run talks and workshops, as well as providing conflict mediation training for staff. We can also review your policies for inclusion and compliance with the Equality Act (2010).

Who can use this service?

Anyone who wants to increase knowledge, wellbeing and working relationships with staff and clients or service users.

Why people use this service

  • Staff don't feel confident in how to challenge homophobic, transphobic or sexist bullying in the workplace
  • Staff feel uncomfortable with language around gender identity
  • Policies are out of date and don't comply with the Equality Act (2010)

How we can help

  • Discuss without fear of saying the wrong thing
  • Increase knowledge of sexuality and gender identity
  • Empower people and reduce isolation
