We'll check for the early signs of stroke, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and dementia
As we get older, we have a higher risk of developing conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease or type 2 diabetes.
You can get a free NHS health check to spot the early signs of these conditions and help prevent them happening to you.
Who is the health check for?
The health check is for adults in England aged 40-74. It's designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia.
Why should I get a health check?
You'll be given advice to help you lower your risk of a stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes or dementia. We'll talk about how you can maintain or improve your health, which means you'll be more likely to enjoy life for longer.
