About this service
Funded by NHS Emergency Department opt-out testing, the HIV Mentoring Programme supports people living with HIV who are newly diagnosed or those who might be lost in care or finding it difficult to take or adhere to their medication. The programme is for patients accessing clinics at the Caldecot Centre at King’s College Hospital, Harrison Wing at Guy's Hospital, Wolverton Centre at Kingston Hospital, Rosehill Clinic at St Helier Hospital, Alexis Clinic at Lewisham Hospital, Trafalgar Clinic at Queen Elisabeth Hospital and Courtyard Clinic at St George's Hospital.
The peer-led approach of the programme is to help getting support feel more comfortable. Our peer mentor will support you by sharing their HIV knowledge and providing emotional support, advice and advocacy around welfare, immigration, housing, drug use and any other issues to you. Our service is tailored around you.
