G-HIVE: Greenwich Hub for Influence, Voice, and Engagement

Voice, influence, representation, and engagement for the statutory sector and voluntary, community, and faith sector in the Royal Borough of Greenwich

About this service

The Greenwich Hub for Influence, Voice, and Engagement (G-HIVE) is a programme delivered by METRO Greenwich Action for Voluntary Service (METRO GAVS). METRO GAVS is the Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

G-HIVE aims to improve joint working between the statutory sector and Voluntary, Community, and Faith Sector (VCFS) within the borough, to redress deep-rooted health inequalities. G-HIVE intends to change the way that services engage with local communities and VCFS groups and organisations. This work builds on the collaboration which occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The long-term vision for G-HIVE is to create a powerful infrastructure that better ensures representation of local health and social care needs and reflects local communities' aspirations. G-HIVE is centred on building a culture of system change which should lead to reduced demand on the NHS and social care. It also aims to build trust, develop preventative services that local communities actively shape, and that local communities value in the medium-to-long term.

Who can use this service?

Any group or organisation within the statutory sector or VCFS which is currently delivering project/s, programme/s, service/s, and/or activities within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Groups and organisations do not need to be members of METRO GAVS.
