Privacy Policy: Pitstop PLUS services

Our privacy notice for events, marketing activity and our publications.

What would we use your personal data for?

We use your information to provide you with appropriate support, monitor your progress, to improve our services and analytics for the Royal Borough of Greenwich Local Council, London Borough of Bexley Local Council, and Kent Community Health NHS Foundation who are the commissioners of this service.

What information about you would we use?

Depending on how we are interacting with you, we will use the following

  • Name
  • Address
  • Social Media accounts (only where you have been involved with a social media campaign and consent)
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Date of birth or Age
  • Where you heard about the service
  • Any referrals to other Metro Services
  • Last clinic results
  • Previous order history
  • Current or historic sexual health information (including sexual activity history and results from any tests completed)
  • Current or historic sexual orientation
  • Current or historic gender
  • Racial or Ethnic Origin
  • Response to any surveys you may complete (if you chose to)
  • Any information disclosed by you via correspondence with us

Who will be using your personal data?

METRO will be the main Controller of your information where we provide you with support. Because this service is commissioned by Royal Borough of Greenwich Local Council, London Borough of Bexley Local Council and Kent Community Health NHS Foundation some information may be passed over to them should this service be taken over by another supplier.

In order to send you emails about our services and news we use a system called Umbraco. This is hosted and maintained by Ministry. We also use, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey, Microsoft Forms, Office 365 for communications via email. Our Laboratory partner (TDL) will send text messages to you regarding your results.
 

What gives us the right to ask for it and use it?

In order to complete STI tests or provide you with free condoms we do so with your consent. Once you have given permission for an STI test to be undertaken Ministry/Umbraco will send your details to our partner Laboratory – TDL ‘The Doctors Laboratory’. The Lab will then mail out the testing kit and receive completed samples. The Lab will then share results with METRO Sexual health office and we will text you the results and offer support.

We only use anonymous information about clients for the purposes of reporting to our commissioner the numbers of people using this service. No identifiable data is passed to the commissioner as part of this reporting.

How long will your data be kept?

Your information is kept for 8 years from the date your results were issued to you.

Our use of your data will be subject to the following legal rights:

  • Your right to be informed as to how we use your personal data
  • Your right to access personal data we hold and use about you
  • Your right for us to rectify your personal data if you believe it is incorrect
  • Your right to object to us using your data for specific reasons
  • Your right to restrict our use of your data for specific reasons
  • Your right to delete any personal data we may use and hold on you
  • Your right to object to any profiling we may do on you

Who do we share your data with?

In order to provide you with an STI test (and results) Information about orders/requests and pre-test discussion questions (including HIV status and testing history) are coded and passed from Ministry to TDL.

With your consent, we may pass your information over to other services within METRO or 3rd parties at Lifeline Basis or Stop Smoking services.
