We had an incredible time at the World AIDS Day Red Run London! A huge thank you and congratulations to our 34 superheroes in Team METRO, who raised an incredible £4,000 for our HIV hardship fund!
In total 1,800 participants took on Red Run in 2025, raising over £216,000 for 31 HIV charities!
What is METRO's HIV hardship fund?
Since 2010, we have given out £50 grants to support people living with HIV who have nowhere else to turn. These grants act as a lifeline and help cover essential costs like transport to appointments, electricity bills, and buying food.
Thanks to our Red Run fundraisers' efforts, we are able to provide an additional 80 hardship grants to service users in desperate need.

Since its launch in 2009, Red Run has raised a staggering £1,300,000 for HIV charities across the sector! These phenomenal funds have helped HIV charities across the country to deliver life-changing HIV support and prevention services, working towards the collective goal of ending new HIV transmissions by 2030.
RED RUN truly is more than a run. Thank you to every participant, volunteer, supporter, donor and team member who helped make 2025 happen!
