As part of our 40th Anniversary exhibition 'Out From the Centre' hosted at Mimosa House from the 10th - 18th May 2025, we hosted a fabulous fundraiser evening called 'Queer Fromage: Drag, Dance and Dining!'.
Originally hosted as a fundraiser in the 1980s, our team re-created a popular event from our archives to raise money for our vital support services.
Throughout the evening, we welcomed 40 guests to indulge in an evening of food and wine tasting. They enjoyed mouthwatering vegan cheese provided by Honestly Tasty, irresistible chutneys from Cherry Tree Preserves, and samples of delicious wine provided by Majestic Wines. We want to say a huge heartfelt thank you to each organisation for their in-kind sponsorship, without whom, this fundraiser wouldn't have been possible.
Our host with the most was none other than drag king legend and barbarian, the incredible Oedipussi Rex, who dazzled with showstopping performances and guided our guests through their tasting experience.
The night wrapped up with a boogie, with the wonderful Queer House Party providing a DJ set to wrap up an unforgettable evening of fundraising!
