Message of love to include a map of personal stories
Love Happens Here: a message of acceptance will guide Pride in London at the 50th anniversary of Parliament’s first vote to partially legalise homosexuality in the UK. A lot has been achieved in the last half a century, but there is still a lot of hatred and incomprehension to be fought against. Pride in London suggests we make this a city of love, diversity and solidarity.
To make it more palpable and personal, the organisers are also building a "map of love", with the help of people who are willing to share their stories of love, such as the street where they had your first kiss, the neighbourhood where they felt confident to step out as who they are, the bar you danced the night away.
