Owen Brand MSYP


Owen is a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament, representing LGBT Youth Scotland. He was elected to the Scottish Youth Parliament in 2019, with his term due to end this October. "It has been an honour and a blessing to be a part of and represent this beautiful community. It is an experience that I will carry with me, always."

Ros Halley


Ros Halley is the Rural Communities Manager of Support in Mind Scotland, which is an organisation that aims to improve the quality of life for anyone whose mental health problems or mental illness has a serious impact on their life and on the lives of others, including family members, friends and supporters.

Tim Hopkins


Tim is the director of the Equality Network, a national organisation in Scotland working for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) equality. The Equality Network’s work includes policy development and advice for the Scottish Government, Scottish Parliament and others, LGBTI community development and engagement, information provision, Scottish Transgender Alliance policy and community engagement, intersectional equality issues including for minority ethnic LGBTI people and disabled LGBTI people, intersex equality development, training, research and European networking and skills sharing.

Helena Thomas


Helena is Senior Business Support Officer at LEAP Sports and joined after a long career in the travel and tourism industry. She came with many years of experience in both commercial and organisational fields. In addition to working at LEAP, she has volunteered with a national charity for a number of years. After a brief retirement, she has taken up playing Hockey again with one of Glasgow’s most well-established clubs. When not playing she can be found, whistle in hand, umpiring. 

Mridul Wadhwa


Mridul is the manager of the Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre. She has worked in the gender based violence sector in Scotland since 2005. She is a board member of the Equality Network, YWCA: Young Women's movement and the Scottish Women's Budget Group. Mridul is a trans woman.
