As we get older, we have a higher risk of developing conditions like high blood pressure, heart disease or type 2 diabetes.

You can get a free NHS health check to spot the early signs of these conditions and help prevent them happening to you.

Who is the health check for?

The health check is for adults in England aged 40-74. It's designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia.

Why should I get a health check?

You'll be given advice to help you lower your risk of a stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes or dementia. We'll talk about how you can maintain or improve your health, which means you'll be more likely to enjoy life for longer.

How can I get a health check?

If you're aged 40-74, identify as LGBT, live in Medway and don't have any pre-existing health conditions, email healthchecks@metrocharity.org.uk or call 0208 305 5007 to arrange your health check.

If you're aged 40-74 but don't live in Medway and/or identify as LGBT, you can find your local service on the NHS website.
