Counselling

A safe and consistent place to talk about and explore difficult feelings in a supportive and non-judgemental environment

For adults

Counselling can be a space to explore whatever is going on for you in a supportive and non-judgemental environment.

We offer short-term and long-term counselling, giving you a safe and consistent place to talk about and explore difficult feelings.

How do I access counselling?

Everyone who requests counselling is asked to come for a free initial assessment. This is an opportunity to discuss how counselling might help and whether METRO Counselling is the right service for you. If counselling is appropriate, you will be placed on the waiting list for a regular weekly appointment.

How much does it cost?

We invest time and money into providing an ethical and professional counselling service and, as a charity, we do ask for payment for each session. This ranges from £5 (if you are unwaged) to £40 depending on your income.

For young people

We understand that sometimes chatting to someone confidentially about things that are troubling you can really help. We can chat about many different things including being lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and/or questioning.

Our Chat service offers counselling, group therapy, family therapy and online counselling for young lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer/questioning people aged 11-25 and their families who live in London.

Alcohol

Speak to us if you've got questions about alcohol, or if you're concerned about your drinking or the drinking of someone you know.

METRO Juice is a free and confidential alcohol information and 1-2-1 counselling service for young people aged 11-25 who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or may be questioning their sexual or gender identities and who have a connection to the south east London area. You can refer yourself or a worker can refer you, but all enquiries will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.
