LGBT domestic violence service

METRO's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans Identified (LGBT*) Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) Service

Who the service is for?

Open to all LGBTQI victims/survivors of domestic abuse/violence or honour based violence who live, work, socialise or study in the London boroughs of Lambeth or Southwark.

What we offer

  • Free, confidential, non-judgemental support from a named caseworker (LGBT IDVA)
  • Help to weigh up your options and manage any risks you are facing in a safe space
  • Referral for multi-agency support (police, housing, benefits, health, counselling and other services)
  • Assistance accessing legal advice and representation, for example to obtain injunctions
  • Attendance and support at court hearings and meetings with other agencies
  • Emotional support and practical advocacy, risk assessment and safety planning
  • Referral and signposting to other METRO services

When you arrive please press 206 and enter on the intercom and ask for the METRO IDVA drop-in service.
